2011 Ferrari 458 Italia Review

2011 Ferrari 458 Italia Review
A warning: If you are reading this and you own a Ferrari, you probably enjoy driving it very much. Unless you also have $250,000 ready to spend, don’t go drive the new 458 Italia. Because if you do, you won’t like your car anymore.
For years, Ferrari ownership has been about compromise. A Ferrari is purposeful, racing-bred technology made to work well on the street, but it comes at a price, both literally and figuratively. Ferraris are expensive to own and maintain, and for that reason, many people only use them selectively to carve canyons on weekends and at racetracks.
Even worse, many owners simply drive them to the mall and back, stopping at Starbucks to show off real excess to people who think $4 coffee is a luxury. Besides the obvious expense of owning and operating such a machine, there are a few other drawbacks.

PAST FERRARIS SEEM CRUDE BY COMPARISON

Yes, the paddle-shifted F1 Gearbox can shift in 100 milliseconds, but we’ve seen smoother clutch operation from drunk 16 year-olds who’ve stolen their fathers Corvette. The radio, sourced from Blaupunkt, is completely indecipherable and sounds like it was assembled at Best Buy. The so-called Navigation system, optional with the 430 Scuderia, is completely useless. The air conditioning doesn’t blow cold when it’s hot outside, but works great in the dead of winter. As for Spider models, the top is slow to operate, prone to breaking, and expensive to fix. And often, so many Ferraris simply won’t start when asked.

2011 Toyota Ft-86 II Concept Review

2011 Toyota Ft-86 II Concept Review
Toyota stands by its long tradition of manufacturing beautifully designed sports cars. It has been quite some decades 2000 GT hit the market place way back in the 60’s of the last century. It carries on to transfer the same excitement of a superbly competent machine. Then Corolla Levin AE86 happened. It instilled that all important sense of satisfaction in drivers. Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 next week will witness the coming of age of a new Toyota…it’s going to be Future Toyota (FT)-86 II concept sports coupe. They say, Levin AE86 is the inspiration behind the making of this new machine - at least in its front engine, rear-wheel drive features.

It first made its appearance in Geneva Motor Show 2009 as FT-86 and then FT-86 II coupe was launched at the 2011 Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne in July 2011. The third and revised edition is programmed to come in Frankfurt. The company wants us to believe that the new entrant is going to be much fast, light and smart than the previous offering. To bait the younger buyers, the company gave it a really attractive exterior design. The video and photographs of FT-86 II are already out and have instantly become the talk of town. That’s natural too as this concept (mind that it’s not a production model) looks a lot better than its fore goer. that takes the enthusiasts a step closer to the final production version. And there are plenty of indications about a possible launch of the production model in Australia in the third quarter of next year.

The original red FT-86 Concept and a red/orange AE86 has been spotted at Toyota Megaweb, a monster two story building which displays the full lineup of Toyota and Lexus models sold in Japan. The Mega Web is a unique showroom in that you not only can touch and get in any car of the manufacturer without any restrictions, but you can take all the cars out onto the test track for a cheap fee! But I doubt the FT-86 is among these cars

2010 Toyota FT-86 Concept Review

Tokyo, Japan - Meet the "Future Toyota 86 Concept" or FT-86 Concept. This compact sports car is set to debut at the Tokyo motor show later this month.

This sport coupe has some pretty compact dimensions with a total length of just 4.16 meters and a height of 1.26m (width and wheelbase are 1.76 and 2.57 meters), which gives the compact sports coupe a low center of gravity.

The FT-86 was created by Toyota's Europe Design Development known as ED2, their main focus is a low center of gravity and aerodynamics, while creating a "functional utility" with its highly-refined body.

In not keeping with the times, this concept does not feature any new technology of the hybrid or electric kind - which is a little weird.

The Japanese automaker wanted to create a compact feeling vehicle that is easy to drive and to handle, while being able to accommodate four occupants. In addition to its light curb weight and low centre of gravity, the FT-86 Concept boasts 'race car' handling as well as a 6-speed manual transmission and ADVICS brakes.

The interior of the FT-86 Concept looks very space age with its super modern seats while the rest of the interior features an instrument panel with a gray and white colour scheme, a navigation system, the gauges have red neon lights and digital displays as well.
The FT-86 will feature Subaru's 2.0 litre Boxer petrol engine, which only produces 120kW (160hp), although, there are rumors that it may be tuned up to around 150kW (200hp).

Toyota 4Runner Review And Pictures 2011

Toyota 4Runner Review
Few SUVs have the level of name recognition that the Toyota 4Runner enjoys. Launched in 1984, the 4Runner has always been Toyota's smaller and more affordable complement to the legendary Land Cruiser. Even though the first 4Runner was little more than Toyota's compact two-door pickup with a removable top, it was nonetheless rugged and tough. Over time, the 4Runner has earned its own reputation as a durable vehicle -- off-road and on.

During the SUV-crazy '90s, Toyota introduced more models into its product lineup. This allowed the company to move the 4Runner up a few notches in size, accoutrements and price. Still outfitted with a solid rear axle, however, the current Toyota 4Runner boasts old-school brawn, which helps to set it apart from the other midsize SUVs in its class, especially those that have moved into crossover territory.

For some buyers, this traditional SUV style might be a detriment. Overall, though, the 4Runner should be a good choice, new or used, for consumers in need of a dependable SUV that's comfortable for everyday use while still being rugged enough for recreational off-road duty.
